Aim

This session works equally well for mentors and mentees. The aim of the session is to explain what mentoring is, how it should work and to provide useful tools and tips to ensure your mentoring partnership is a success

Objectives

By the end of the session you will be able to:

  • Explain what mentoring is and the difference between mentoring and coaching
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities in a mentoring relationship
  • Demonstrate using the ‘GROW’ model for mentoring
  • Demonstrate how to give and receive positive feedback
  • Introduce the mentoring toolkit
