Aims

This practical one-day workshop is designed to help individuals that will need to complete Equality Impact Assessments. The background around equality and diversity for service users will be covered as well as the opportunity to review and complete live Equality Impact Assessments. The workshop aims will be achieved through trainer led discussion, group activities, and examination of relevant case studies.

Objectives

By the end of the workshop delegates will be able to:

  • Understand key themes relating to equality and diversity
  • Be aware of the role and purpose of the Public Sector Equality Duty and the surrounding legislative framework
  • Know when and how to Conduct an Equality Impact Assessment
  • Consider approaches for Consulting and Engaging with Stakeholders
