Introduction to Team Leading

Aims

This 2-day course is aimed at newly appointed line managers, supervisors and team leaders as well as more experienced managers who have not previously had any management training. It is also suitable for people who are likely to become managers within the next couple of years.

Objectives

This course will help you to:

  • Describe and use work planning tools and approaches
  • Explain the complex role of the team leader
  • Demonstrate coaching and feedback skills for individuals and teams
  • Explain how to help your manager delegate more effectively downwards
  • Describe how networking applies to leading a team
  • Explain how to identify and improve your personal networks
